Zimbabwean-born midfielder Christopher Mbamba has been included in the Harambee Stars squad for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana.

Zimbabwean-born midfielder Christopher Mbamba has been included in the Harambee Stars squad for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana.

Mbamba, who currently turns up for Sweden’s second tier side, Oskarshamns AIK has been named in the squad by coach Sebastien Migne.

The 26-year-old has played for Sweden at youth level from under-17 through to the under-20 level.

Also named in the 23-man squad by coach Migne is uncapped England-based defender David Sessay.

Zesco duo of David Owino and Antony Akumu are both back after missing October’s 2019 Nations Cup home win against Ethiopia with injuries.

Five other players have been placed on standby, but any of them would be contacted to move to camp only in the case there is an issue with any player on the list of 24.

The team is set to hit camp on March 17, 2019, in Nairobi ahead of the match against Ghana which has been slated for March 23, 2019, in Accra.
