Ayiekoh Believes Simba Queens Can Upset ASFAR

Simba Queens headcoach Charles Ayiekoh says his team must get ready for a tough match against Moroccan outfit, ASFAR.

The Queens are scheduled to face last edition’s semifinalists in their CAF Women’s Champions League Group A tie on Sunday night as they look to grab maximum points against the hosts.

Ayiekoh was speaking on Saturday after the team held their last training session saying that ASFAR are a tactically good side and they must be respected.

“We know ASFAR is a great team. The team has an excellent coach, and great players and in addition, they will play at home for this competition. But, in football, it’s all about preparation, and I can tell you that we are well-prepared.

Queens midfielder Vivian Corazone also echoed the same words and promised  they will fight for the win against ASFAR in their road past group stages.

“We believe in our abilities. We have a solid midfield, I hope we will excel in attacking. I expect my teammates to get as many assists as possible”.

Ayiekoh took the reigns of Queens in September following his exploits with local side She Corporate, a team he guided to a runner-up spot at the CECAFA Champions League zonal qualifier.

Together with his technical bench, they aware that they have to bag a win to climb up the Group A standings.
