ABSA Premiership League: Title Holders Bidvest Wits Woes Stretches with Latest Draw.

Bottom-placed Bidvest Wits have been left searching for answers following their latest 1-1 draw away to Chippa United.
Wits, kings of last season’s championship, had hoped for a turn for the better after picking their first win last Wednesday in all competitions since December 2nd 2017.
But what was thought to be the start of a fresh campaign towards escaping clutches of relegation, turned sour as Chippa United applied the brakes on Wits encouraging a newfound form of wins.
Played at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Malielie Vincent Pule had spared his teammates of their early blushes with a brilliant opening goal in the 27th minute – his second of the league.
The six thousand, one hundred and five crowd of supporters at the Port Elizabeth had by now hoped the points were for gaffer Gavin Hunt’s side going late into the game until Kristopher Charles Bergman stabbed home an eight minute equaliser to force a share of the points.
The result makes it all more herculean for the defending champions with four more teams now scrapping it out in the relegation zone, each on fifteen points.
Earlier on Friday Matrizburg whitewashed Bloemfontein Celtics 4-0 as Ajax Cape Town whacked Platinum Stars 3-1.
Table-toppers, Mamelodi Sundowns had their fine run soiled by Orlando Pirates after losing 3-1.
Free State Stars also thumped Cape Town 1-0 as Polokwane City bit the dust to Kaizer Chiefs 2-1.
It was a bitter pill to swallow for Supersport United who endured a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows including Amazulu who got spanked 2-0 by Baroka.
