TTM Striker Justin Shonga Linked With A Move To Zamalek

Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek are reportedly interested in signing Justin Shonga from South Africa Premier Soccer League outfit Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) ahead of January transfer widow.

Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek are reportedly interested in signing Justin Shonga from South Africa Premier Soccer League outfit Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) ahead of January transfer widow.

Shonga has made six appearances for coach Joel Masutha’s side this season and has scored one goal and made one assist.

The 24-year-old was previously linked with Portuguese outfit SC Maritimo but a move failed to materialize at the time.

According to a reliable informant Zamalek are preparing an R8 million offer for the Zambian international.

Earlier, his agent Karabo Mathang of P Management was quoted to Soccer Laduma that there is interest in Shonga’s services from international clubs, although she would not disclose any names.

“Look, there is a lot of ongoing interest for Justin and I can’t necessarily confirm the exact club,” Mathang told the Siya crew.

“It is a sensitive period, which is the window period and I do not want to prejudice him by name-dropping where it has the potential to affect certain conversations that have been going on. There is more than one club internationally that have shown interest,” Mathang explained.

The former Orlando Pirates star, Shonga joined TTM after he was released by the Sea Robbers following a frustrating end to the 2019-20 season.

He enjoyed two good years with the Soweto club establishing himself as a key player after arriving from Super Division side Nkwazi but his form hit its worst last season.

Prior to the start of last season, he had scored 13 times making him the clubs top scorer in all competitions in the 2018/2019 season.
