Mbokani has not shied away from discussing his future, hinting he could pursue his career elsewhere if the right offer comes his way.

Mbokani has not shied away from discussing his future, hinting he could pursue his career elsewhere if the right offer comes his way.

The DR Congo striker is the highest scorer in the Belgian First Division A and remains the subject of intense transfer speculations after notching in fourteen goals this ongoing campaign.

Harping on where next for him if he were to switch clubs despite having a deal running until June next year, the 34-year-old said the China Super League does look an attractive destination.

“An adventure abroad? I am open to that, but it must be the right club and competition,” he said, divulging he has had a deal from a club in Uzbekistan but ruled out the proposal.

“I recently received an offer from Uzbekistan. How long would that be flying, around six? That does not interest me. China? That could be, after the season,” he continued.

The DR Congo all-time goal-scorer knows talks about him is at fever-pitch but the former Belgian league best player says he isn’t keen on a switch too soon, stating top on his wish-list is finishing the ongoing campaign at current team Antwerp.

“I’m talking about January now. My intention is to finish the season at Antwerp, mind you, I feel good here and I have no headache anywhere else. But you never know. If I get a great offer, one that cannot be refused and which also benefits the club, why should a transfer not be possible? Then we will certainly discuss this with the chairman and with D’Onofrio,” he dwelled on.
