Sudan FA are in talks with their counterparts in Chad to arrange a friendly game ahead of the start of 2022 FIFA World Cup African qualifiers.

According to sources within Chadian Football Federation, the Falcons of Jediane have been contacted by the Les Sao for a match to be played in the Chadian capital of N’Djamena.

“We are in talks with Sudan to arrange a friendly game soon after football resumption,” a source told Ducor Sports.

“We want to play a friendly before facing Morocco as it’s expected to call-up new faces for the Chad national team squad during the next camp,” he added.

The Falcons of Jediane are expected to start their 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign on October 2 when they travel to Rabat to face Morocco.

The friendly against Chad will be set depending on the when FIFA allows the resumption of international friendlies.

The match is needed to give the coaching staff the chance to re-examine their squad after they failed to make to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Falcons of Jediane have not played any warm-up games during a FIFA date for international friendlies since November 2019.
