Second Coach Sacked at Algerian Club Soura in 12 Months

Nabil Neghiz’s days at Algerian club JS Saoura appears to be numbered with reports suggesting he has been sacked.

The Eagles are bottom of 2018/2019 CAF Champions League Group D standings with one point from two games.

They were on Friday held to a 1-1 draw by Egypt’s Al Ahly in a Champions League match at home, prompting club bosses to act, according to Algerian news outlet Ennahar whose sources say: “Neghiz and Saoura have parted ways.”

“The club is set to announce the interim coach on Monday.”

Neighiz joined Saoura at the beginning of the season following Karim Khouda’s sacking.

Their Saturday’s opponents, Al Ahly, moved top of the group after the draw with four points one more than second-placed AS Vita, who thrashed Tanzanian side Simba SC 5-0 on Saturday.

At the domestic front, they are currently seventh in the Algerian League table with 23 points after 16 games.

Up next for Saoura is an away clash with AS Vita on the first week of February.
