PSG Close to Landing Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho in a £201m Deal

Paris Saint-Germain is edging closer to securing a sensational double deal for teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe and Fabinho according to reports.

Mbappe has been the subject of intense speculation this summer after an impressive breakout season where he netted 26 goals and provided 9 assists as a young Monaco side stormed away with the French Ligue 1.

According to multiple sources, a £128 m deal is being drafted for the forward and could surpass the £201m mark when joined by teammate Fabinho.

The reports also suggest that the deal could include Brazilian winger Lucas Moura going the other side as part payment for Mbappe having been deemed a surplus requirement with the arrival of Neymar.

Monaco who has repeatedly insisted that no other players are leaving this season might be forced to sell the forward after a training burst up with a teammate last week.

French publications L’Euipe, claimed the Frenchman traded insults with team mate Andrea Raggi, leading to the coach sending him back to the dressing room to sit out the rest of the session. He did not feature in Monaco’s victory over FC Metz on Saturday, while he was an unused substitute the previous week against Dijon.

The 18-year-old apparently stood his ground and refused to go, forcing his entire squad to move to another pitch at the club’s La Turbie center to continue with the session.

PSG who signed Neymar earlier this month for a record £200m from Barcelona and would have to try to ply away the forward on a season-long loan move with an option to complete the transfer next season if they are to keep within the UEFA Financial Fair play rules.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions have been trying to tie down Mbappe to a new deal but talks were supposedly held to prepare fresh terms.

Losing Mbappe will surely be a massive blow for the Les Monegasques but five goals in three games from their captain Radmel Falcao this season show Leonardo Jardim’s side has enough fire power to mount another title challenge.
