Players of Troubled Algerian Club Go on Strike

Players of embattled Algerian side USM Harrach have gone on strike over unpaid wages.

Players of embattled Algerian side USM Harrach have gone on strike over unpaid wages.

The players claim they’re owed months of earnings and want to be settled of at least three months.

Monday’s news comes a huge blow for a side battling tooth and nail to stay up the Algerian second tier as they sit at the basement.

They’d been expected to turn up at training as is the routine but players opted against showing up in a show of discontent over the club administration’s handling of the matter.

The players have not given any date as to when they would end the strike, leaving it for the board to decide on the basis that bucks are released on time.
