On Demand Kahata to Decide Future After AFCON

Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata says he will make a decision over his future after the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Gor Mahia midfielder Francis Kahata says he will make a decision over his future after the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

The creative midfielder will be out of contract in June and has been linked with a move to Tanzanian side, Simba SC.

The Kenyan international is certain to leave Gor Mahia after three seasons with the club but had remained tight-lipped on where he would head next.

“Yes, my contract with Gor Mahia is ending in June but I can’t speak on where my future lies right now because right now I have shifted attention to the African Cup of Nations with the national team. I will only talk about my future after the tournament,” Kahata said.

He further revealed that he has received a good offer from Simba SC.

“I have received a lot of offers with Tanzania’s Simba SC among those keen on securing my services, I can’t really reveal other teams but I can confidently say they have contacted me and they want to offer crazy deal. From next month I will be a free agent meaning I can sign with any team I feel like,” he told Citizen.
