New Harambee Stars Coach To Be Unveiled On Wednesday

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has reportedly settled on giving the head coach role to former Tusker FC manager Jacob Ghost Mulee.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has reportedly settled on giving the head coach role to former Tusker FC manager Jacob Ghost Mulee.

Reports on Tuesday claimed Hugo Broos and Augustine Eguaveon were said to be FKF’s top-two coaches hours after they parted ways with Francis Kimanzi.

According to an invite sent to media houses by the football governing body, the official unveiling of the new coach is set for Wednesday 21, October at a Nairobi hotel.

“Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa will on Wednesday unveil new Harambee Stars coach,” the letter reads in part.

Mulee was previously in charge between 2003 and 2004, and was appointed again in 2005 even though he never actually coached the team during that time.

He is remembered for steering Harambee Stars to the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations finals held in Tunis, Tunisia.

He resigned from the national team coaching position after a disagreement with the Normalization Committee that was running Kenyan football.

Kenya continues with her quest for a place at the Africa Cup of Nations next year with back-to-back qualifiers against Comoros next month.
