Morocco Officially Announced as Host of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)

The announcement was made by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) following Wednesday’s vote at the Executive Committee board meeting in Cairo, Egypt.

The committee unanimously voted for Morocco’s bid to organize AFCON 2025

Zambia and a joint bid from Nigeria and Benin went up against Morocco’s offer after Algeria had earlier announced its withdrawal on the eve of the announcement date.

The committee also announced Kenya-Tanzania-Uganda s the host of the 2027 AFCON.
