Michael Olunga Hot On French Club’s Radar

Kashiwa Reysol and Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has popped on the radar of newly promoted French Ligue 1side RC Lens, according to several French media.

Kashiwa Reysol and Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has popped on the radar of newly promoted French Ligue 1side RC Lens, according to several French media.

Lens manager Franck Haise has made no secret of his wish to bolster his attacking options this summer, having previously been linked with Jerry Yates, Gael Kakuta and Jackson Muleka.

However, the Frenchman has now turned his attention to Olunga who currently turns for Japan’s J League outfit.

The rumors claim that Lens owners are willing to make the Kenya international the club’s highest-paid player.

The 26-year-old has been on a free scoring run for Kashiwa Reysol and is currently top scorer of J league season with 12 goals.

Olunga helped Reysol gain promotion to the top-flight league, having found the back of the net 27 times in the Japan 2 League last season.

The former Tusker and Gor Mahia forward debuted for Kenya on June 13, 2015 and has thus far scored 11 international goals in 23 appearances.

The left-footed attacker has also been linked with Turkish side Besiktas and Spanish side Espanyol in the past few weeks.
