Michael Sarpong has arrived in Dar es Salaam as the Ghanaian international gets set to complete his move to Tanzanian Premier League side Yanga.

Michael Sarpong has arrived in Dar es Salaam as the Ghanaian international gets set to complete his move to Tanzanian Premier League side Yanga.

The Jangwani giants earlier confirmed they had reached an agreement with his representatives to sign their top summer target.

Yanga announced the agreement two days after completing the signing of Democratic Republic of Congo duo of Tuisila Kisinda and Mukoko Tonombe.

And the 24-year-old striker flew into Dar es Salaam this evening as his new side beat Simba SC to his signature.

Sarpong and his travelling party were photographed in the back of a Mercedes G Wagon pulling into a city centre hotel mobbed by team fans.

The striker was hiding in the back of the Mercedes but photographers confirmed the star’s presence at the city centre hotel at around 6pm this evening.

The former Rayon Sports forward joins Yanga as free agent and is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Vodacom Premier League side.

Sarpong was instrumental in helping Rayon Sports win the 2018/2019 Rwanda Premier League where he netted 16 goals to emerge the top scorer.

His contract at the Rwandese club was terminated after he refused to accept the decision by the club to stop paying salaries of players for three months owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
