The 25-year-old gloves man joined the Phobians in December last year on a free transfer after leaving fellow top-flight side Elmina Sharks.

Attah enjoyed his best moment in the Ghana Premier League before it was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic in June.

The burly goalkeeper made 14 appearances and kept six clean sheets and conceded only 8 goals.

His previous deal with the club was due to end in 2022 but the club has reached an agreement to extend the contract by another year.

“Goalkeeper Richard Attah has extended his contract with Ghana Premier League side Accra Hearts of Oak to 2023,” reads a statement from the club.

“The giant goalkeeper joined the Phobians on an initial three-year deal at the start of last season, but, has now extended his deal by another year,” a club statement has announced.

Attah is the second choice goalkeeper of Ghana to Richard Ofori and was part of the Black Stars squad that was called for 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Sudan.
