DR Congo striker Jackson Muleka has signed for Belgian giants Standard Liege from TP Mazembe.

Muleka, who had been linked with French Ligue 1 outfit Lille, has penned a four-year-contract with both clubs having agreed to a fee of about €1 million.

The 20 -year-old has been a regular in the Congolese side since 2018 making over 30 continental appearances notching 14 goals and registering four assists.

“TP Mazembe is delighted to announce the transfer of Jackson Muleka to Belgian side Standard Liege,” reads a statement from his former club Mazembe.

Muleka was instrumental in making sure TP Mazembe qualified to the last eight of the CAF Champions League before they were eliminated by Raja Casablanca of Morocco.

The youngster scored seven of the 11 goals that the Ravens scored at the group phase of the annual continental club competition.

Muleka enjoyed an impressive campaign before football was suspended with 15 goals and seven assists in 20 Congolese top league games.

The youngster was the league’s top goal scorer last season with 24 goals, and he looks like he will capture this season’s CAF Champion League top scorer award.

Muleka made his debut the DR Congo national team in 2019 and has been capped seven times scoring three times.
