Harambee Stars Coach Remains Positive Ahead of Tanzania, Senegal Duels

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne believes his side can still qualify for the round of 16 in the African Cup of Nations by picking points in their remaining group matches.

Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne believes his side can still qualify for the round of 16 in the African Cup of Nations by picking points in their remaining group matches.

Stars lost 2-0 to Algeria in the opening match of the tournament last Sunday, a match Migne’s charges were completely outplayed by the Desert Foxes.

This attracted backlash from Kenyan fans with most questioning his team selection and tactics in the game.

Migne, however, says all is not lost. The former Congo coach said Stars can still pick points against Senegal and Tanzania.

“We should not give up because we still have two matches to play and I want to keep the players focused. We tried to win the first game but we did not, so we should now try and win the second game. We must stay positive, we can still get something from the two matches and put our campaign back on track,” he said.

Stars will play Tanzania on Thursday.
