South African giants Kazier Chiefs have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder James Kotei on a three-year deal.

The defensive midfielder has moved to the Amakhosi after a three-year stay with Simba Sports Club where he won two league titles among other accolades.

Chiefs, without giving details, announced Kotei’s arrival in a statement posted on their social media pages.

“Kaizer Chiefs have signed James Agyekum Kotei on a three-year contract. The 25-year-old defensive midfielder hails from Ghana. He joins Amakhosi from Simba Sports Club in the Tanzanian Premier League,” the statement read.

He becomes the second player to land at Chiefs this window after Zambian striker Lazarous Kambole who joined from Zesco United.

Meanwhile, the club parted ways with Ryan Moon, Hendrick Ekstein, Bhongolethu Jayiya‚ Gustavo Paez and Virgil Vries.
