Gabon’s Frank Obambou on the Verge of Joining Tunisian Champions

Gabonese defender Frank Obambou is on the brink of switching to Tunisian champions Esperance de Tunis. The 22-year-old touched down in Tunis earlier this week where he’s expected to undergo a mandatory medical before committing his future to the erstwhile African champions.

Capped five times with Gabon’s national team, Obambou will switch from Algerian Premier League outfit, Entente Sportif Setif with whom he signed for on a three-year deal only last month.

The undisclosed transfer fee though is thought to be in the excess of €150,000. Esperance has been on a shopping spree in recent months as the club targets to reclaim the Total CAF Champions League and retain the domestic league title they won last season.
