The Algerian giants defeated Vipers SC of Uganda 2-0 courtesy of Djabout and Benyada’s goals at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Lavangne revealed that the players played according to his plan and hence a fantastic performance. With chances created in the second leg, the coach feels that the side was better over the two legs.

“We came here to win the game. In the first half, we were nervous and I commend my players for returning better in the second half,” Lavagne told CAF Online.

“Over the two legs, we were better. Vipers had only one chance to score in 180 minutes. To qualify for the group stages of the CAF Champions League is a good achievement.
