Burkina Faso coach Kamou Malo has announced his final 28-man squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The squad includes Aston Villa forward Bertrand Traore and Royal Excel Mouscron goalkeeper Herve Koffi lead a cast of familiar faces at Stallions.
Traore’s brother Alain, who turns for Djiboutian outfit AS Alta Solar, is one among the top-profile absentees alongside former skipper Charles Kabore who announced his retirement from football a couple of months ago.
There is no place for Turkey-based midfielder Bryan Dabo and Portugal-based young defender Ben Aziz Zagré, whose is reported to have declared that he is not ready for national duty.
The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations runners-up were draw in Group A along with hosts Cameroon, Ethiopia and Cape Verde.
The Stallions will kick off their campaign against Cameroon on January 9 at the Olembe Stadium in Yaoundé .
