South Africa Premier Soccer League side Black Leopards have appointed former Chippa United manager Lehlohonolo Simon Seema as their assistant coach.

The 40-year-old, who hails from Lesotho and is a CAF A licensee, was in charge of the Chilli Boys for six months.

He had been the coach Bloemfontein Celtic for seven years between 2013 and 2020, in a period where he worked in different capacities including performing the role of assistant coach and caretaker coach.

“Seema is coming in with a lot of experience and a good reputation as a coach. We trust that the technical team will work very well to achieve great results this season,” said Leopards boss David Thidiela.

Seema is reported to have signed a two-year contract and joins as assistant coach under Dylan Kerr.

He now joins Morgan Shivambu and Sam Banda amongst the coaching staff at the Venda-based outfit, who are placed 15th on the league standings with five points from eight matches.

His first game on the Leopards dugout will be against Lamontville Golden Arrows at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on January 5.
