Mulenga was recruited after emerging Chipolopolo’s 2018 CHAN tournament top goal scorer at the tournament with three goals, before they were knocked out of the quarter-final stages by Sudan.

The seven released players had intermittent roles for the club in the last few years but struggled for game time in the recently concluded PSL season.

Pirates finished in third place in the 2019/20 Absa Premiership campaign and have already started bringing new faces to complete their rebuilding process.

Bucs have so far acquired services of four new players in Thulani Hlatshwayo, Deon Hotto, Collins Makgaka and Terrance Dzvukamanja ahead of the 2020/21 season, with the club expected to add more experienced players their ranks.
