ASCK Crowned Togolese Football League Champions

Sports Association of Kozah Drivers (Association sportive des conducteurs de la Kozah (ASCK) were crowned Togo Football League champions on Sunday after their goalless draw against OTR in their coronation match at the Stade Municipal de Kara.
Ecstatic supporters of ASCK celebrated with gusto as they were handed the country’s most prized football title at their home grounds.
The Kassim Guyazu’s coached side won their maiden league title after a 4-0 triumph over Maranatha at Stade de Municipal de Kara last month but they had to wait until Sunday to be crowned.
Players and officials of the team were handed medals before captain Nane Richard lifted the trophy to the delight of their fans.
“It was hard work, the league was very tight but we were consistent up to the end to become champions. We are all happy for the achievement,” said coach Kassim Guyazu.
ASCK finished four points clear of their close challengers Maranatha who beat Dynamic Togolais 1-0 at the Stade Agoe-Nyive.
The Blues finished the season on 44 points whiles Maranatha trailed them with 40 points followed by Gomido and Dynamic Togoalis in that order with Sara ending fifth.
ASCK will now represent Togo in the Caf Champions League next season while Maranatha will be Togolese representatives in the CAF Confederation Cup.
