Asamoah Gyan Returns to the Arabian Gulf League

Asamoah Gyan has sought out a career opportunity in the United Arab Emirates which will reunite the player with the Arabian Gulf League (AGL) by signing for champions, Al Ahli.

“The relationship I had with the people of UAE was fantastic, so I want to come back and continue the relationship, and I will also like to thank the fans of Al Ain so much. We had a great four seasons together,” Gyan told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

Reports have come out admitting a one-year loan deal agreed for Gyan. The “controversial” deal will play the Ghanaian against his former club, Abu Dhabi-based Al Ain where he played a crucial four-year role. Al Ahli are a fierce rival of his current club Al Ain.

Cosmin Olaroui an influential figure in overseeing the signing of Gyan at Al Ain, is eager to rekindle the working relationship he established with the striker.

After a successful spell scoring, 128 goals in 123 matches for his former club, Gyan who became an instant league star expressed delight in the chance to play again.
