Algeria’s Bentaleb Falls out with Schalke Coach, Demoted to U23s

Midfielder Nabil Bentaleb has fallen out again with German Bundesliga club Schalke 04’s coach.

The 25-year-old Algerian was sent out to train with the side’s U-23s for disciplinary reasons.

This is the second time the left-sided playmaker is falling out with gaffer Huub Stevens, according the North African a return of just six games since taking over the reins March this year.

A former Tottenham Hotspurs starlet, Nabil was recently incorporated into the A-team, coinciding with a visit to his pregnant wife at a hospital.

However, the German outfit announced this week that the Algerian has been sent back to train with the reserves following another spate with the coach.

The recent setback is likely to affect the midfielder’s chances of featuring heavily for Algeria in the Africa Cup of Nations with competition for places high in his position.
