Idrissa Gana Geuye has ruled out departing English Premier League outfit Everton for pastures new.

Idrissa Gana Geuye has ruled out departing English Premier League outfit Everton for pastures new.

Said to be in the form of his life, the Senegalese was the subject of transfer speculations amid reports he could leave Goodison Park for a UEFA Champions League team.

The 29-year-old is not short of takers with PSG in hot pursuit of his services early this year before talks over a switch hit the buffers.

His performance failed to get him man-of-the-match in the 4-0 whitewashing of Manchester United last Sunday but still earned him rave reviews, reigniting talks of his likely departure.

And questioned about prospects of quitting the Toffees, Geuye responded coolly.

“No, there is no page turning (over a new club). I’m still under contract with Everton and I’m not thinking of that even though I’m 29 years old,” he said.

“I think there is no choice for the moment because I’m still in Everton and I still belong to that club. So this question (of leaving), I do not even think about it because for me, I’m still in Everton and I will continue to give everything for this club,” he told a local Senegalese tabloid this week.

The Teranga Lions’ playmaker has starred from the start twenty-nine times missing only a game.
