No African player has so far tested positive of the rampaging covid-19 firming its roots first in China, then Italy to rest of the world.

The sole African player initially reported to have gotten infected was Gambia’s Omar Colley who came out to deny the allegations.

It turned out Sampdoria had wanted to block him from jetting down in Banjul where he and rest of his Scorpion teammates had been scheduled to camp before taking off for the AFCON qualifier with Gabon.
