Morocco have opted out of the CHAN 2020 over fears of the Coronavirus.

Morocco have opted out of the CHAN 2020 over fears of the Coronavirus.

Yesterday, the North African nation said it will be under lockdown after it emerged there were eighteen positive cases of the virus amid panic.

The Atlas Lions’ FA notified CAF of the decision prior to it coming out only now just days after the continental football governing said it’s suspending all its competitions.

Morocco, the reigning champions of the CHAN –the local version of Nations Cup open to only home-based African players –were drawn with Uganda, Togo and Rwanda.
