Zimbabwe Set to Unveil New Jersey

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) will soon announce a new kit supply deal with a respectable company within the next two weeks as a replacement for Mafro, Ducor Sports can confirm.

Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) will soon announce a new kit supply deal with a respectable company within the next two weeks as a replacement for Mafro, Ducor Sports can confirm.

This week, ZIFA took delivery of two sets of approved designs from a company that will kit all the national teams after some initial delays with the customs.

There is a scanty of information about the track record of the kit supplier but it is confirmed the deal was brokered by ZIFA president Felton Kamambo.

The new kit design- specifically the yellow first shirt- as seen by our source, looks to be inspired by the previous kit made by former providers Mafro.

Federation sources indicate that plans are in place for an official unveiling with dedicated stores for bulk and retail sales.

Earlier this week, ZIFA president Felton Kamambo was quoted by a Zimbabwe daily stating that his executive team was about to clinch a deal with a company to kit all the national teams.

“We have engaged a sponsor for our kit. The negotiations are now at an advanced stage. Hopefully, within the coming two weeks we will announce the agreement of the contract. We will make a joint announcement with the sponsor for that,” Kamambo said.

Zimbabwe is on the brink of qualifying for the continental premier football tournament, and a point in their last match against Congo-Brazzaville at the National Sports Stadium will suffice to take the team to the finals set for Egypt in June.
