Zambia Super League Round Up: Mbombo Haunts Former Club as Napsa and Kysa Failed to Win Again

The Zambia  Super League week ten came with nine  highly contested matches. Kabwe Warriors’ eight-game unbeaten run finally came to an end while  KYSA and  Napsa Stars search for their first win of the season continues as they failed to do so once again.

On Sunday,  In Kabwe,  winless Kabwe Youth Sports Academy hosted big spender Buildcon as they were looking to record their first win of the season. The new boys controlled the match from the on set with some beautiful interchange of passes.

Kenyan talisman John Mark Makwatta however came from the bench to break the hearts of the young Kabwe side with a 74th minute strike. KYSA remain without a win since the start of the season.

In the second match of the day,  Kabwe Warriors welcomed twelve time Super League champions Nkana in a bid to extend their unbeaten run but unfortunately former employee Idris Ilunga Mbombo had other ideas as he scored twice in the second half to send Nkana to third on the log and condemn Warriors to first home defeat.

In Kitwe,  Laurent Muma’s 74th minute  strike made sure  Chingalika,  Kitwe United made it five matches without a victory. In Lusaka Lumwana Radiants and Napsa Stars played out to a goalless draw while Nkwazi  beat Nchanga Rangers by a lone goal.

On Saturday, Bernard Ofori opened his goal scoring account for the Bankers Sensational Zanaco to cancel out Larry Bwalya’s wonder goal as Power Dynamos and Zanaco shared the spoils.

Diamond Chikwekwe scored the only goal of the game as Green Buffaloes beat National Assembly  by a lone goal .
