Youssouf M’Changama: Comoros Midfielder Joins Auxerre

Comoros international Youssouf M’Changama has joined newly promoted French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre on a two-year deal.

The 31-year-old has been without a club following the end of his three-year stay at French Ligue 2 side EA Guingamp.

Auxerre confirmed the deal on its club website, which states M’Changama, is the most important foreign player who has joined the club in recent decades.

M’Changama played 33 games in his stay at Guingamp, scoring nine times and adding 15 assists.

He has been one of the best Ligue 2’s players and led the league for assists this season, and impressed in Comoros’ run to the 2021 African Nations Cup last 16.

The midfielder had joined Guingamp from another Ligue 2 outfit Genoble Foot on a two-year contract before adding another season with the club.

The native of Marseille, M’Changama has previously played for Sesan’s Reserves, Troyes’ Reserves, Oldham Athletic, RC Arbaa, Uzez Pont and Condalt Marseille.

At international level, he has represented Comoros 50 times since his debut in 2010, scoring 11 goals.
