Yaya Toure to Return from International Retirement

Ivory Coast and Manchester city midfielder, Yaya Toure is set to come out of international retirement. The Ivorian announced his retirement in September 2016 after representing his country over 113 times citing his reason for doing so as, [perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“not feeling able to set new goals as a player for the country.”[/perfectpullquote]

Yaya said, “I love my country and I am available for national team selection. I want to help the next generation and use my experience to make all Ivorians proud.”

His agent, Dimitry Seluk also speaking about the decision said, “Yaya Toure has decided to return to Ivory Coast national team. He wants to win another trophy with the Elephants of Ivory Coast.”

His announcement has been taken well, with fans admitting they needed his experience to push the younger generation to new heights.
