Yannick Bolasie Opens Up About Life On the Side-Line in Hopes of an Impactful Return For Everton

Injured Everton winger Yannick Bolasie has finally opened up about life on the sideline and hopes his return will give the side a much-needed boost. The DR Congo international has been out of action for eleven months with a knee injury he suffered against Manchester United on December 6th, but promised fans of a full recovery which will see him come back more ‘refreshed and hungry’ than ever.

Bolasie told the club’s website.

“That has taken up my time and the whole package has come together, so I’m buzzing, really, and happy with where I am at.

“I tend to distance myself [when I’m injured] but now that I am getting there, I am starting to watch and go to games again and I feel like I am close, and that is the main thing,” he added.

Bolasie also explained how he believes the side being in 18th position does not mean they might get relegated for the first time in the club’s history.

“We have quite a few new players, it’s happened to teams in the past, but the boys are working hard to make it right.

[perfectpullquote align=”full” cite=”” link=”” color=”” class=”” size=””]“With everything that is going on, hopefully, I can come in and give a boost to the team and I am confident that they will be confident when I come in. If the team is confident, then that helps you even more, and that makes it better for me to come back and slot in that little bit easier,”[/perfectpullquote]

he concluded.

His return date hasn’t been set but he recently shared a video on social media showing him at Finch Farm dancing with the ball at his feet, doing simple drills which gave Everton die-hards hope that he will be back soon.
