Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC have confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza after five months in charge of the club.

Uganda Premier League side Vipers SC have confirmed that they have parted ways with head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza after five months in charge of the club.

The Venoms wielded the axe after Saturday’s uninspiring performance in the 0-0 draw with Tooro United at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

It was reported by Ducor Sports crew earlier last month that the management at the Venoms was in discussions about the immediate future of their Mexican head coach, after a series of poor results.

The club has since confirmed that the two parties have agreed to part ways with immediate effect, with the Kitende-based outfit now set to find a new man at the helm before their CAF Confederation Cup fixture against Tunisian side Sfaxien.

“Vipers SC has this evening terminated the services of its head coach Javier Martinez Espinoza. The club management thanks the Mexican tactician for the services rendered to the club,” read part of club’s statement.

Vipers SC will in the next 24 hours make major announcements on the new technical team after the restructuring aimed at helping Vipers achieve its desired objectives at both local and international level.

Reliable sources reveal that Edward Golola could make his return to the Venoms as there have been talks in the football fraternity about the Kitara FC head coach’s possible return to Pearl of Africa’s top flight team.
