Former Erbril Sports Club and Cape Town City midfielder Allan Kateregga is on the verge of signing for a new club, Ducor Sports can reveal.

The 26-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving the Iraqi Premier League side Erbril at the end of the season. Kateregga trained with Vipers not too long ago, but was not offered a contract.

Ducor Sports has gathered from a reliable source that Kateregga has been offered a new contract at his former side, KCCA FC, who are participating in African Confederation Cup.

“Allan Kateregga is meeting with the club management on Friday,” said the source.

“He has been offered a contract and he is expected to agree terms with the club,” he added.

Kateregga would join experienced players such as Charles Lukwago, Denis Iguma and Bright Anukani, who need to inspire the club to the group stages of African Confederation Cup.

Kateregga previously played for Kasasiro Boys before he was snapped by South Africa Premier Soccer League outfit Cape Town City.

He was loaned to Martizburg United where he spent a short stint before mutually terminating the contract with the Citizens.

The midfielder was part of Uganda national team which featured in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations that was held in Egypt.
