KCCA eased past SC Villa with a 4-1 victory in a Uganda Premier League match played at StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala.

Coming from 2-1 defeat at the hands of Mbarara City, KCCA were keen to forget about the past against Villa. Goals from Joseph Kafumbe, Erisa Ssekisambu, Mustafa Kiiza and Allan Okello were enough to hand three important points.

Villa nearly took the lead as early as the first minute, as Emma Kalwoya headed just wide of the upright.

Joseph Kafumba came close to giving KCCA the lead in the fifth minute, as his glancing header sailed just wide of the mark.

However, Kafumba was not to be denied in the 10th minute, as he poked the ball in the back of the net giving the Kasasiro Boys the lead.

Villa should have equalised in the 18th minute when David Owori produced a lovely deft cross for Ibrahim Kbumba, who somehow headed wide from point-blank range.

The Kasasiro Boys were hot and extended their lead in the 37th minute, courtesy of a powerful strike from Erisa Ssekisambu.

Charles Lukwago came to the home side rescue just before the halftime break. The shot-stopper pulled off a fine save to keep out Derrick Ndahiro’s strike.

Five minutes into the second half, a double save from Saidi Keni denied the home side from making it 3-0. Allan Okello cut inside from the right and cracked a long-range shot which Keni parried into the path of Kizza, but the midfielder was denied from close range.

The same duo were involved in the 61st minute as Kiiza turned from a provider into a scorer as he pounced on Okello’s cross to extend his side’s lead.

The Jogoos lifted their game and it paid off in the dying minutes when they reduced the deficit. Asuman Harishe and Faizal Muwawu stretched the KCCA defence, allowing for Amir Kokomo to tap into an empty net at the far end.

KCCA then got the fourth for the night in the 89th minute when Okello latched on to a long ball and whistled a shot towards the bottom right-hand corner past Keni for an unerring finish.
