Tunisian Club’s Team Bus Smashed By Thugs

Tunisian Premier League side Club Africain’s team bus’ windscreen has been smashed by thugs.

Tunisian Premier League side Club Africain’s team bus’ windscreen has been smashed by thugs.

The incident occurred in the aftermath of their 2-1 capital derby lost to Africa club champions and domestic title defenders Esperance du Tunis.

Yassine Khenesis had raced Esperance ahead with a 29th minute penalty goal, his third of the season before Jaziri Fakhridine evened it for Club African three minutes from the break.

The tie remained balanced when play resumed until Ivory Coast’s Fousseny Coulibaly became the difference-maker, scoring a beauty seven minutes from time condemning their adversaries to a 2-1 lost.

However, just after the whistle blew marking the end of the game, a group of thugs made for Club Africain’s team bus, smashing the screen.

The club confirms there are no reports of injuries, saying their players were not on the bus when the incident happened.

The league organising committee are yet to dispatch a communiqué on the said case.
