Tunisian Club Sanctions 3 Brazilians Over Wage Dispute

Three Brazilian players contracted to Tunisian Premier League side US Ben Guerdene have received sanctions over a wage dispute.

Three Brazilian players contracted to Tunisian Premier League side US Ben Guerdene have received sanctions over a wage dispute.

Gilmerson Dos Santos, Ricardo Alves Periera and Melo Dos Santos were fielded in the club’s previous match but refused to honour the fixture by not turning up for the encounter.

The foreign players accuse their Tunisian employers of not paying them their wages, claiming frequent negotiations to solve the impasse have been held without success.

The actions of the players understandably left the club coach seething with anger culminating into a suspension for all trio.

US Guerdene are reported to be considering suing the players for damages arguing they’ve been paid all their dues.

A hearing over the case is expected to begin, possibly this week.
