A Tunisian Premier League side has turned down resignation of its first team coach even after a string of poor results.

A Tunisian Premier League side has turned down the resignation of its first team coach even after a string of poor results.

US Tataouine are still to secure a first win of the season after four games, grabbing only a point out of a possible twelve, conceding in all outings in the process.

A dismayed coach Walid Chettaoui had thought opting to leave will be at the best interest of all parties involved but the club board ruled against it, insisting he should continue.

A top level meeting was held between Walid and the club’s chairman in which the board managed to convince the coach assuring him of their backing.

The 41-year-old was appointed July this year after the side escaped the claws of demotion by seven points last term prompting the dismissal of the erstwhile gaffer.

US Tataouine are joint sixth in the fourteen-team league along with a troubled Club Africain.
