Tunisian football has been stormed by allegations of bribery amid claims that a domestic club was offered 250,000 dinars to throw away a match, Ducor Sports can reveal.

Stade Athletique Bizertin’s President Abdessalem Saidani this week set tongues wagging after alleging he was offered 250,000 dinars to ask his outfit to deliberately lose a game.

According to Saidani, he was approached by the board of embattled rival club Stade Gabeisen at an undisclosed location in which he was made an “impulsive” proposal of the reported amount.

Hours after Abdessalem’s claims, the news spread but it took Stade Gabesien hours to react to the story and when they finally did, the outfit sued the Athletique Bizertin’s boss.

The Tunisian Football Federation and National League Organising Committee are expected to investigate the issue but the two institutions are yet to make a move.
