Petro Athletico Set to Sign Rwandese Striker

Angola giants Petro Athletico are in front in the quest to sign Rwandese international Jacques Tuyisenge despite interests from Tanzania Premier League side Young Africans.

Circling reports claim that the 27-year-old Gor Mahia forward has reached a deal with Tricolores, who inquired about the striker’s availability last week and it looks they have taken one step ahead.

Tuyisenge, who is compared to Mamelodi Sundowns and South Africa striker Lebohang Maboe, has caught the eye of clubs higher up the football pyramid with his performances for the Kenyan Premier League champions.

Congolese side AS Vita have also inquired about the availability of the former Police FC hitman in their second attempt after their initial bid was knocked down in January.

Tuyisenge moved to the Kenyan champions in February 2016 after captaining Rwanda national team Amavubi to quarter-finals of the 4th African Nations Championship (Chan) finals, which was staged in Rwanda.

His contract with Gor expires February next year and the club is yet to offer him an extension.
