Togo legend Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to Paraguayan outfit Club Olimpia is believed to be as good as done, as the player appears to have agreed on personal terms with the club.

Interest in the player’s services from clubs around Europe has skyrocketed during the last few months after quitting Turkish club Kayserispor.

Nimes, Toulouse, and Aston Villa were all reportedly interested in landing his signature and it now seems as though he will be sporting the Express Dean jersey for the rest of the season.

The 35-year-old forward had a wonderful adventure in Turkey where he scored 28 goals in 76 appearances and his form looks set to secure him a Primera Division move.

As confirmed to Ducor Sports by sources in the know, the player’s agent and Olimpia have already finalised their talks and reached an agreement.

“Emmanuel Adebayor’s move to Club Olimpia is as good as done. It’s a deal that was agreed on by the parties involved on Friday,” a source revealed.

“The agreement has been for Olimpia to officially unveil the player next Wednesday.”

The 2008 CAF African Player of the Year, Adebayor has previously turned for Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Crystal Palace in the English Premier League.

He last played for Togo in a 2-1 away defeat to neighbours Benin in March last year in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
