South Africa Makes a Demand as a Condition to Host the Nations Cup

South Africa has laid out a plan to the Confederation of African Football as its condition to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

The rainbow nation is pushing in an effort to be accorded a huge part of the money emanating from TV rights.

Ahmad Ahmad stripped Cameroon of the right to host the finals citing preparation issues and unrest besetting the Central African country’s north and southern parts.

Morocco also withdrew from offering to be replacement hosts, leaving the continental football governing body with only Egypt and South Africa.

The latter wants to broker an understanding with CAF suggesting that CAF parts with half the of revenue generated from TV rights.

However, the Ahmad Ahmad-led organization is not falling for it, despite the urgent need to get a replacement for Cameroon, according to news tabloid Asabah.

Egypt, according to the publication, now look in pole position to be awarded the 2019 hosting rights.
