Simba Sign Serbian Forward Dejan Georgijević

Tanzania Premier League giants Simba Sports Club have signed Serbian Dejan Georgijević to bolster their attack with just six days to the Kariokoo Derby against archrivals Yanga.

The 28-year-old centre-forward joins the 2021/2022 CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finalists from Domzale which plays in PrvaLiga in Slovenia.

He landed in the country Saturday after with the rest of the players ahead of the climax of Simba Day at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Georgijević will complement the club’s striking force and battle for a starting role with the likes of Nelson Okwa and Pape Sakho.

“Simba fans be ready for clinical finishing from our new striker Dejan Georgijević,” the club posted on Twitter as translated from Kiswahili.

In 2019,Simba hit the headlines, signing Brazilian striker Brazilian striker Wilker da Silva, whom they later released after he failed to impress at the Dar es Salaam giants.

Simba struggled upfront last season as they won 17 matches and finished second with 61 points thirteen shy of champions Yanga.
