Simba are set to sack their coach Sven Vandenbroeck, according to reports in the Tanzanian press.

Vandenbroeck took training on Monday morning but his future looks bleak, with the club expected to announce his departure following a board meeting in the afternoon at Mo Simba Arena.

The Belgian took charge of Simba five months ago following the departure of Patrick Aussems, but according to reports, the club is seeking the possibility of appointing a new coach before the end of the season.

The 40-year-old gaffer is said to have lost control of the dressing room as most of the players have not been comfortable working with him since his public rant against captain John Bocco.

Last week, Tanzanian publication Mwanaspoti reported that Vandenbroeck has been having a bad working relationship with his assistants.

Simba are currently top of the Tanzania Premier League table with 71 points, 17 more than the second-placed Azam FC.

The league is scheduled to resume on June 13 and the management was supposed to release the fixtures on Sunday, May 31, but it did not happen.

The league leaders have also been scheduled to play Azam FC in the FA Cup quarter-finals on June 27/28.
