Simba Repotedly Close To Signing AS Vita Midfilder

DR Congo international Mukoko Tonombe is reportedly close to joining Simba SC  from Congolese giants AS Vita.

The 24-year-old is a highly-rated midfielder, who helped Vita qualify for this season African Champions League group stage.

The Black Dolphins are said to have agreed to sell Tonombe according to a Tanzanian publication, Mwanaspoti.

“The DR Congo international who plies his trade with AS Vita has reliably agreed to personal terms with the Tanzanian side,” the publication noted.

“Reliable sources also indicate both clubs have agreed on the transfer of the player who has been instrumental in helping the Black Dolphins reach the group stages of the African Champions League.”

Tonombe was heavily linked with a possible move to Egyptian Premier League giants Zamalek in 2017, but the deal never materialized.

If his move to Simba materialises, Tonombe will join his countryman Mpiana Mozizi the two players having previously played together at Congolese side FC Renaissance.
