Simba SC captain John Bocco anticipates a tough match when his side takes on Ruvu Shooting in a Tanzania Premier League match on Sunday 14th June in Dar es Salaam.

The Misimbazi Reds will welcome Ruvu in a match that will mark the resumption of Tanzania Premier League. Simba will be looking to stretch its lead at the top further while Ruvu will be looking to break into the top eight.

Bocco, whose side has lost only three matches this season, expects a very tough match against the Abdulmutick Haji coached side but says his team will be out to win at National Stadium.

“We know the league will be tough because all teams have been preparing but our focus is to win each game starting this Sunday against Ruvu Shooting so that we put ourselves in a better position to defend our title,” says Bocco.

Bocco noted that preparations for his club were on top gear and they now have the needed confidence heading into the tie.

“Our coaches are doing an exemplary job in making us become better players and our expectations as players is to ensure we retain the Mainland premiership title and also do well in the FA Cup,” adds Bocco.

Simba are currently leading the 20-team Tanzania Premier League with 71 points while Ruvu lie in the 11th position with 39 points from 28 matches.

Tanzania Premier League sides were given green light to commence training on June 1to shape up for the rest of the championship.
