Senegalese Youngster Cheick Kane Signs for Egyptian Side Smouha

Egyptian side Smouha have acquired the services of Senegal youth international Cheick Bamba Kane.

Egyptian side Smouha have acquired the services of Senegal youth international Cheick Bamba Kane.

The enterprising midfielder arrived in Alexandria on Tuesday where he successfully completed a routine medical check before putting pen to paper on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Guinean giants Horoya AC prior to the current transfer window after falling out of favor with Diambars SC in his native country.

Kane is expected to be an important cog in the Smouha’s midfield that has also Guinea’s Yamodou Traore, Namibia’s Benson Shiyongo and Uganda’s Derrick Nshibambi.

However, he will be in the stands to watch his new side’s next league game against Misr El Makassa on the 22nd of December at 5 pm Egyptian time.

Kane’s signing comes after the club signed Congolese winger Emmono Ngoy from DRC’s AS Vita.

Smouha will now have to let go of two of their four foreign African players as the Egyptian Football Association rules cite.

Their head coach Tarek Yehia is expected to present the names of which player to drop in coming few days.

Smouha is currently assembling a side that will improve their current relatively average season, which has found them in ‘unusual’ 7th position, although they have played a few games less than some of their counterparts such as Tala’ea El Gaish.
