Senegal’s Aliou Cisse has set his eyes on snapping up Malang Sarr ahead of France.

Senegal’s Aliou Cisse has set his eyes on snapping up Malang Sarr ahead of France.

The defender, plying his trade with Nice, was born in France but qualifies to feature for the Taranga Lions via his parents who originate from the West African nation.

Sarr has been a mainstay for Nice this campaign putting in strings of prepossessing displays.

Senegal’s officials have already approached the centre-back and gaffer Cisse is intent on travelling to France as part of his tour of Europe for scouting, to have Malang commit his future to them.

The 20-year-old is one of the hottest properties in the Ligue 1 and is courting overtures from English Premier League outfit Chelsea.

Sarr’s ascension this term has been impressive, continuing from where he left the previous season in which he starred thirty-four times.

Aliou has had his way with a couple of Europe-born players including the calibre of Diao Balde Keita.

Sarr has a greater chance of playing for Senegal than France but still faces stiff competition for the centre-back role with Kalidou Koulibally all in the fray of things.
